We’re a designer-led furniture boutique and interior design studio located in Bay 7 at BREW Block, Kailua-Kona. Expect a curated mix of upholstery, casegoods, lighting, and local artwork that feels modern island, not touristy—plus help  from a pro design team when you want it. 

What you’ll find in the showroom

• Custom ordering + surprisingly doable shipping. If we don’t have your exact size or fabric, we’ll order it and coordinate delivery to your home or vacation property. Many customers call our shipping “surprisingly affordable” compared with mainland freight.

Who we are

ROOST Design Hale is the shop home of Barbie Palomino, principal interior designer at Studio Palomino. With 15+ years designing residential, hospitality, and commercial spaces, Barbie’s approach is “livable luxury”—elevated yet easy to live with. That lens guides every piece we stock and every project we take on.

Do you ship to other islands or the mainland?

Yes. We regularly coordinate freight for Hawai‘i and beyond and will quote options before you order. Many customers find our shipping more affordable than expected without compromising on luxury and durability. 

Can you help me furnish a second home or vacation rental?

Absolutely. We handle scaled furnishings packages, durable materials, and install logistics so you can arrive to a finished space. 

Are you open on Saturdays?

Yes! we recently added 11am-3pm on Saturdays, but please check our Google profile or give us a call first. 

 

Do you feature local artists?

Yes—ongoing. You’ll find original work and small-batch pieces that connect your home to the islands.
